Coastal Living
marks the 10th anniversary of its popular
"Idea House" with a coastal cottage open for
tours from Oct. 31 in Bon Secour Village
along the Alabama Gulf Coast.The coastal
cottage design was developed by noted
architect Stephen Fuller, and land it is
ocated in the Azalea Park neighborhood at
Bon Secour Village. Bon Secour Village, a
Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND)
designed by Andres Duany, and noted for his
award winning designs of Seaside, Rosemary
Beach and Alys Beach Florida.
The Coastal Living Idea House brings
together the very best in home design,
interior decor, and new building products.
The Arcadian-style home with approximately
3,500 square feet and features sweeping
views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The
two-story home is being built by John O.
Freeman, General Contractor.
The 2007 Coastal Living Idea House will
be featured in the October 2007 issue of
Coastal Living. The home's admission fees
will benefit The Academy of Arts and
Sciences in Gulf Shores.
The Academy of Arts & Sciences, located
in Gulf Shores, Alabama, is an accredited
independent, non-sectarian school offering a
strong academic education for Pre-School to
5th Grade. They operate under the belief
that every child should be taught in a
manner which fosters their creativity,
talent, character, and individuality.
